Slacker!

yes, that's what i am. GOSH, i can't believe i didn't post yesterday. sorry, i've gotta stop that. i'm a living napoleon tribute. okay, so i watched the first lindsay lohan movie that hasn't grated on each individual nerve in my body. not that it's movie of the year, or even movie of the day, but at least it was funny. not much else.

i did have a fun experience, or rather interesting one, while researching cell phones and digital cameras monday night. my first stop was radio shack, where i was greeted by a pleasant if only slightly knowledgeable salesperson probably within 10 seconds of my walking in the door. the second stop was circuit city, where i stood around for 15 minutes at the digital camera case, on several occasions catching the eye of an employee passing by but never as much as being spoken to, before moving over to the CD section, where a young girl finally acknowledged my existence. not real impressed! then i ventured on to target and was assisted by a very patient, extremely knowledgeable woman who didn't seem at all put off by the fact that i didn't buy anything after she'd answered all my questions. so now i know what i want, it's just a matter of finding it at the right price -- which will probably be online. i'm thinking about sending emails to each store to let them know about my experience. maybe target will give me some kind of spokesperson status and i'll get a free camera. or maybe circuit city will beg my forgiveness and i'll get a free camera. did i mention i'm hoping to get a free camera out of this?

on to yesterday's SOTD.

The Christmas Song/DMB (i suddenly got the urge for christmas in september! probably had something to do with freezing my butt off at a soccer game ... long story.)
She was his girl; he was her boyfriend
She be his wife; take him as her husband
A surprise on the way, any day, any day
One healthy little giggling dribbling baby boy
The wise men came three made their way
To shower him with love
While he lay in the hay
Shower him with love love love
Love love love
Love love is all around
Not very much of his childhood was known
Kept his mother Mary worried
Always out on his own
He met another Mary for a reasonable fee, less than
Reputable as known to be

His heart was full of love love love
Love love love
Love love is all around
When Jesus Christ was nailed to the his tree
Said "oh, Daddy-o I can see how it all soon will be
I came to shed a little light on this darkening scene
Instead I fear I spill the blood of my children all around"

The blood of our children all around
The blood of our children all around
The blood of our children all around
So the story goes, so I`m told
The people he knew were
Less than golden hearted
Gamblers and robbers
Drinkers and jokers, all soul searchers
Like you and me

Rumors insisted he soon would be
For his deviations
Taken into custody by the authorities
Less informed than he.
Drinkers and jokers. all soul searchers
Searching for love love love
Love love love
Love love is all around

Preparations were made
For his celebration day
He said "eat this bread and think of it as me
Drink this wine and dream it will be
The blood of our children all around
The blood of our children all around"
The blood of our children all around

Father up above, why in all this anger have you fill
Me up with love
Fill me love love love
Love love love
Love love
And the blood of our children all around
