Friday's Top Ten ... Who's Your Hero?

1. wonder woman
2. my friend/co-worker cindy who manages her life, her husband's life (he owns his own business) and the lives of her four kids, plus a foster daughter. she's a master gardener, the preschool coordinator, redecorates homes (hers as well as others), cares for homeless animals, visits her kids at college in west virginia, can make, bake or fix anything, leaps tall buildings with a single bound ... you get the
picture. she's one of the wisest people i know ... and tons of fun, too.
3. my dad. he can build, fix or duct tape anything.
4. my science teacher from high school, mr. buckles. he knows everything.
5. hawkeye/last of the mohicans (i mean, in the true girlie sense of the word)
6. c.s. lewis. he keeps appearing on these lists of mine. sorry for being redundant.
7. bob dylan. he makes perfectly good sentences sound so incoherent. and that harmonica!
8. those guys who always fix what's wrong with my car, whoever they are ... god bless them.
9. our former jr. high pastor, russ, who has the uncanny ability to apply God's Word to your life ... i guess that's discernment?
10. our maintenance lady at kohl's, maria. she works her butt off for peanuts and the managers get the awards for her keeping our bathrooms spotless.

I also have to add Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Jason Bourne and ... hmmm ... one other that appeared on someone else's list who I can't remember right now. darn. i'll check on that tomorrow.
