Today ...

marks the one-year anniversary of Natty's homegoing. she was 16 years old. she left behind a mother, father and sister, as well as half-siblings on her father's side. it's far too impossible a situation to comprehend, let alone rationalize. i'm pretty sure we've all stopped trying to figure it out. but maybe that means that the grieving can start to produce actual healing, instead of just more ... pain.
