is it possible that eating could make you sick? i'm not talking any food in particular, just eating in general. i've had the notion for more than a month now that food does not do my body good. (or is it well?) i got the stomach flu about 6 weeks ago, and ever since then my body responds abnormally to the ingestion of food. sometimes i get a stomachache, sometimes i get full after eating a few bites, sometimes i just don't feel like eating at all -- most of the time if i eat what i consider a normal meal, my body informs me in not-so-pleasant ways that it would like smaller portions, thank you.
i miss being able to eat food and not regret it afterward. mostly i regret spending money on food when i barely eat half the meal, then take the leftovers home and it's gone by the next day because it seems my mother subsists on the contents of those styrofoam containers. college flashbacks, anyone? you put (with much trepidation but also with the depressing knowledge that chinese wouldn't fare well in your room for 24 hours) your leftovers, marked conspicuously with your initials and room number, in the refrigerator (a.k.a. culinary black hole) only to search the fridge in vain the next day, or worse yet, gleefully discover your box is still there ... yet alas, empty.
back to the subject, i'm going to do some research on parasites and ulcers. i'll let you know what i find.
