And in other news...

here are a few things that have otherwise occupied me recently, in no particular order:

1) visit to chicago to see Adrienne, spend morning at Art Institute, dine at Rainforest Cafe, try to see how many times in one day we can break the law (or Art Institute-implemented rules, however you wish to view it)

in a nutshell, got busted for illicit water bottle in Adrienne's purse, attempted to sneak nourishment from granola bar in non-designated eating area, depreciated value of impressionist art by using flash photography, received police escort from designated no parking zone while visiting downtown Christkindlemarket

2) spent thanksgiving with family, worked the most treacherous retail shift known to mankind at kohl's the day after, hung out with friends after homecoming game

3) also during visit to chicago, had dinner at Lou's w/Pete after saying farewell to Adrienne and proved the theory correct that i can ward off unwelcome breakdowns in city traffic by simply turning on the A/C in my car. tested and proven quite a few times, to say the least.

4) enjoyed time after time of blessing during weekly accountability meetings with my girls. i think my being utterly unable to contribute anything to the group is part of the reason we seem to be doing so well. i know it's not because of me, so i can just sit back and enjoy what God is doing for us all. i feel like a sponge when i go to these meetings. but a sponge that can also morph into a larger, more competent sponge as a result of what it's taken in.

what else? i'm sure i'll think of something and will post it when i have the time. that would be which day in mid-2005?

yeah, i love that place. except the minor conversational interruptions caused by overzealous animatronic elephants and bears. can we turn them down just a "skotche" (sp)? and don't you always feel you've gotten a great facial from the steamy atmosphere when you leave?
